I'm only getting to glance at the television now and then, since I'm not off work today. I'm sure once the day is done, the wife and I will park in front of the television and watch. Then I hope to give reactions as I watch.
Right now, on this day, I can't help but think of some of my elementary school teachers, some of my friend's parents and other African Americans in Baton Rouge, LA, and other places, that touched my life in positive ways.
Living in the community that I live in now, which is not very diverse, I'm sure a lot of people can relate to those feelings. I can hope that today might start to change the way everyone looks at one another.
I'm so happy that my kids are aware of what is going on right now.
