I'm not sure what the deal is with this, for I am a pretty modest guy and have too much respect for my fellow human beings (which includes my wife and kids) to stroll around without clothes, but what is up with the old guys at the gym or YMCA?

It seems any gym I have belonged to over the years, there is always some old dude in the locker room that is spending a little too much time nude, when he really doesn't have to.  I've never thought of it as that old dude being sexual, because every time it has been some old dude that just doesn't give a darn if he's out there, working it like the title of this post.

I mean, c'mon man, do you really have to stand there talking economy with Gerald why the towel is around your neck, instead of your waist?  Is it really that short of a walk from the shower to your locker to have all of you out in the breeze?  Really, do you have to blow dry that small amount of hair, sans towel, with one foot on the basin?  Nice.

I don't get it, and it annoys me even more now that I have kids that might have to go in the locker room with me to change from swimsuit, to clothing, on a cold night.  The last thing I want to deal with right now is having to explain why Mr. Peter likes to walk around without his towel, on a cold night at the gym, and where his penis went.

The locker room seems to be the only place where perverts can strut in all their glory and get away with it.

I hate locker rooms. Just won't use them.

When our rec center opens in April, we'll come to the building ready to swim or play, and leave wet and sweaty. Anything so we won't have to use the locker room.

I heard that there might be a "family lcoker room"... kind of like those family bathrooms at the movie theater, so we don't have to be visually assaulted by some old man's shortcomings.
