Well hello.
I know it's been a while, but no one has missed this silly thing. Here are some things that have been going on around here or just other observations.
The New Orleans Saints are done, but yet every Sunday I will get in front of that television and watch them with the pillow just below my eyes, as if I am 10 years old watching Michael Myers sneaking up on a teenage babysitter.
I'm finished with helping to run disc golf tournaments this year. Any events from here on out, I will only be playing in. Horribly, might I add.
I have been drinking entirely too much Diet Coke lately.
It's hard to get into the spirit of Halloween when it's 90 degrees outside, but that hasn't stopped our daughter. She puts on her silly princess costume almost every day and proceeds to make it clear to me that she is beautiful. I'm almost to the point where I wish some pumpkin carriage would come pick her up for a few hours, just as long as she's in by midnight!
Northern Kentucky drivers are driving me crazy. I don't think anyone here understands the right of way or simply they are as the license plates used to say, "It's Just That Friendly". Well, they did away with that license plate and I hate to sound 'big city' on these folks, but let's go! If you stop before I do, then proceed first at a four way stop, don't wave me through. When I'm making a right hand turn at a traffic signal and you are turning left, I have the right of way. Don't turn into me, or you will be given the Chicago horn, which is not a friendly, 'beep, beep'. It's loud and long.
The family is going away to the out-laws this weekend so that I can finish something that I started what seems like years ago. I'm finally hoping to finish that deck this weekend.
I started The Breakfast Club last Wednesday morning. The Breakfast Club is basically opening up our home to the playgroup, so the young folks that don't attend pre-school in the morning can come and play at our house together. The attendance was a lot larger than I thought it would be, there was a big mess with the coffee pot, toys were scattered all over the place, but I think a good time was passed by all and it made the morning fly by. So we'll see what happens next week.
The last two nights I have watched the Chicago Cubs lose to the Arizona Diamondbacks, a team that seems to have a bunch of 17 year olds playing for them. That's right Cubs fans, just wait til next year.
Tonight is the return of one of the only shows on television I watch, Friday Night Lights. I think it's one of the best shows on television, even though it sometimes goes over the top in tackling small town, high school football and community stereotypes in one episode. I hope NBC will realize what a great show they have, but I can't picture it making it much longer. They have changed it to air on Friday nights now, which is when I would think that one of the main demographics they are targeting are doing just what the show is about, out under the Friday night lights at the game. Although, football is only a small portion of what makes this show a great watch for those that are parenting.
More later, I'll snap out of it and try to give you six readers some more of my time.

Be thankful you have a warm Halloween. Our kids have to wear heavy coats over their costumes. And they give up after about a half-hour because it's just too cold. I keep telling my son he should dress as a gorilla or something because that kind of costume is big and bulky and he'll be nice and toasty in it.

Welcome back!
I know. What's with the weather? I am not really in the mood to have apple cider and carve pumpkins when I'm in a freakin' tank top. Sheesh.

The Breakfast Club... what a great idea.
I might have to start something like that on Thursdays which is the one morning my 4 yr. old doesn't go to preschool.
