Someone please go check on New Orleans Saints cornerback Jason David tomorrow morning. He is likely to be sitting in a cold bathtub with no water in it, thinking about the Indianapolis Colts receivers.
My New Orleans Saints played exactly as I expected, they got torched. Their defense is horrible. Horrible.
I think I recall a fan saying something about the need for the Saints to address the defense during the draft. They didn't. They even waived their fourth round pick, which was a running back!
What a game Robert Meachem had! Oh wait....he didn't play.
Jason David had to be hating life playing man to man against .......pardon me....
This just in....Brees just forced another interception with only 55 seconds left, it went back for six.
......Mr. David had to be hating life playing man to man when he was so comfortable, and good, in that Indy cover two. He actually has to keep up with and play defensive back this year, which could be a very long year.
Paging Fred Thomas....paging Fred Thomas. I know you got lit up like a birthday candle last year, but right now you are looking like a pro bowler compared to what the Saints have on the field. That's right Mike McKenzie, you are old and can't really cover anyone either, but oh your hair looks so beautiful!
Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison ran wild, as if the Saints had concrete shoes on. It was bad.
As for now, I would just like to see the Saints stick to the run a little more. Reggie Bush is fast, but a lot of the time he is too fast. He needs to be patient and wait for plays to develop and stop out running his blockers.
I will say that Saints defensive end Will Smith was getting held a lot and only got one call.
The only other thing I can say about this game is that it is a pleasure to watch the Colts safety Bob Sanders play the game, he's a great player.
I am ready for some football, but it could be a long season if the Saints defense plays like that. The Colts just showed everyone in the league how to handle the Saints offense and the Saints secondary has to have quarterbacks around the league chomping at the bit to put up some stats on them.

Cheer up, you've got to get ready for the LSU/Va Tech game tomorrow night.
