My good friend, Fred Salaz, was inducted into the Disc Golf Hall Of Fame on Tuesday, July 30th.
Fred is known throughout the sport of disc golf for designing Idlewild Disc Golf Course in Burlington, Kentucky, currently ranked the most challenging course in the country by the Professional Disc Golf Association.
He has given countless hours of volunteer work back to the sport by designing and working on courses, running PDGA tournaments and informal weekly events in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area and helping anyone learn how to throw a disc that asks him.
This was an honor that was due to come his way and I'm happy for him that he got the call.
I'm lucky to have met Fred and become such good friends with him, in the relatively short time we have lived here.
